2020/21 Season

Sadly the 2020/21 competitive season was unplayable due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  There were therefore no League or Invitational Cup competitions.  However, SWL arranged a series of friendly fixtures known as the 'Autumn series' - well-fought matches with all participants observing the EL Covid-19 'Return to Play' protocols.

Going back into lockdown in January 2021 meant no more lacrosse for a while - and no National Schools, National Clubs or Senior Regional events as large gatherings were not allowed.  But once we were allowed to in April, SWL arranged a series of Summer Scrimmages - informal get-togethers around the region (Bath, Oxford, Cirencester and back to Bath) which gave players the chance to get onto the pitch in ever-changing teams and an opportunity to get to know each other away from the competitive forum of the League! The Scrimmages also gave our Head Umpire Sara Benbow the opportunity to give some much appreciated guidance for many newly qualified L1 umpires.
