National Junior Regional Championships - what a day!
Our four junior regional teams had a great day of lacrosse on Sunday taking on the best the North and South East could offer. All four teams played hard all day with fantastic commitment to each other and the region. Learning how to play together to improve, bonding as team-mates and making new friends. The on-field results didn't reflect the enthusiasm and enjoyment of the day - much more important! Our thanks go to our coaches Tia Hislop, Chelsea Nasmyth-Miller, Bella Penny and Olivia Herries and more thanks to Olivia for the amazing Junior Manager function she has fulfilled this season!

SWL Junior Regional teams announced
Congratulations to the following girls who have been selected to represent the region at the Junior Regional Championships on 29 March 2026. We have been incredibly impressed by the standard and commitment of the young players in the region and to those who didn't make the squads this year, keep practicing and come back next year to have another go!

New Junior Performance Manager
We are delighted to introduce our new Junior Performance Manager - Olivia Herries. Olivia is a Medical undergraduate at Cardiff University and is mad about all things lacrosse! Sadly unable to play for Cardiff Women's 1s this season due to injury, she is instead throwing herself into coaching her uni team and getting involved in our SWL junior programmes.

Following the SW Schools U18 Rally on 11 October, coach nominations for U18 JR trials have been submitted and invitations to trials will be going out to nominated players shortly. Selected U15s will be invited to trials following the Super Counties tournament. At the trials we will be selecting players for an U18 squad (A and B teams + reserves) and an U15 squad (A and B teams + reserves)
We are delighted that our Head Coach this season will be Tia Hislop. Tia is currently head of lacrosse at St Swithun's and is an experienced and highly regarded coach who brings passion and excitement to the game ensuring the girls have fun while they learn! She will be supported by a fantastic group of Assistant Coaches from a wide variety of lacrosse backgrounds - schools, universities, national squads - all bringing something different to the coaching mix.

Super Counties and Junior Regionals 2024-25
Great fun had by all at the Super Counties tournament held this year at Cheltenham Ladies College - huge thanks to CLC for their endless support this season. We then moved on to the Junior Regional Championships which we hosted at St Swithun's School. Again, we are enormously grateful to St Swithun's for their support of our Junior programme. Another excellent day of lacrosse with all our teams putting all they had into every game!
