RULES
Most games in England are played according to the World Lacrosse Rules in force at the relevant time, subject to a few modifications. You can find links to the current World Lacrosse Rules here.
The main modifications to those Rules in England are because we generally do not have the luxury of timers and scorers, so have to adapt any provisions relating to them in the light of what is feasible in a particular situation. For example, if there is no timer there will be no horn to indicate the end of a quarter; the umpire will be responsible for timing the quarter and will blow the whistle to end it. It is generally not practical to expect the umpire also to stop the clock in the last 30 seconds etc. We also make some modifications for junior players.
