RULES, COMPLAINTS AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES
The number and frequency of breaches of policies and codes, especially the EL Code of Conduct, is increasing. The SWL Disciplinary Policy sets out how SWL will respond. It does not replace the existing policies linked below.
All events and competitions in the South West are run under World Lacrosse Rules as adopted by England Lacrosse, with a few amendments specific to each competition. We expect all those participating in, spectating or supporting lacrosse activities in the South West to adhere to these Rules and the standards of behaviour laid out in England Lacrosse Code of Conduct and Safe Sport policies.
World Lacrosse Rules can be accessed here.
SWL Senior League Rules can be accessed here.
SWL Schools' Event Rules can be accessed here.
There are various ways to report incidents. For those occurring within the South West (eg misconduct, officials' feedback, match day complaints involving players and/or bench personnel) please use the SWL On-field Incident Report form. This must be submitted with 7 days of the alleged incident. England Lacrosse will be advised of receipt of all forms and will lead on disciplinary matters on extreme incidents.
This form is NOT to be used for reporting Safeguarding concerns, Red cards or Injuries. For those please use the EL links below.
This form is NOT to be used for reporting incidents at BUCS matches. For those please contact BUCS.
Submitted SWL forms will be reviewed by the SWL Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the SWL Disciplinary Policy.
